PyCon, also known as the Python Annual Conference, is the annual event of the global Python community. The original PyCon was formed in North America in 2003, and now there are many other conferences being run in the PyCon spirit around the world.

PyConf Mini Davao is a dedicated event in Davao City focused on the discussion and promotion of Python programming. Organized by local enthusiasts, this half-day event highlights Python's role in driving innovation across startups and agencies. We invite Python developers, tech enthusiasts, and beginners alike to join us in sharing knowledge, exchanging ideas, and building connections within the Python community. This year's PyConf Mini Davao emphasizes empowering innovation and fostering collaboration, aiming to inspire attendees and strengthen the Python ecosystem in the region.

  • PyConf Mini Davao 2024 is a event aimed at expanding and strengthening the Python community in Davao City. The event features keynote speakers and lightning talks that explore how Python technologies drive innovation in local tech startups and agencies across the region. It is also a pre-event for the Davao Startup Weekend.

  • The event will be held on September 26, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 5:30 PM. The venue is tentatively set to be at Ateneo de Davao University.

  • The event is open to Python developers of all skill levels, tech startup representatives, agency professionals, students in computer science and technology fields, and tech enthusiasts.

  • We conduct preregistrations through our online registration platform. Due to limited slots, we screen preregistrations based on your profile. Updates on your Pre-registrations will be sent over email.

  • Participants will gain insights into the use of Python in real-world applications, have opportunities to network with like-minded individuals, and learn from industry experts. Additionally, there will be a chance to engage with the local tech community and explore potential collaborations.

  • Please bring a valid ID for verification at the registration desk. It’s also recommended to bring a notebook or device for taking notes and a positive attitude for learning and engaging with the community.

  • Yes, afternoon snacks will be provided to all participants. Additionally, lunch will be provided to volunteers and speakers.

  • Yes, all participants will receive a certificate of participation after the event.

  • Yes, exclusive PyConf Mini Davao merchandise will be available for pre-orders to ensure you get the items you want. Don’t miss out on getting your hands on some unique event memorabilia!
